In Visio 2010, we can resize the shapes by dragging them until they are the size that we want:

  1. Select all the shapes that you want to resize.
  2. Drag a selection handle until the shape is the size that you want.

As max pointed out you can resize using the shape handles for a quick fix. Another method is to use the 'size & position' window.

1. select the view tab

2. select the  task panes (the little arrow)

3. select 'size & position'

This comes in handy when you want to select multiple shapes and make them all the same size.

(If you need to fit it onto A4 or A3)

What Viso does is it draws the Shape on an A0 sized paper.  This is why it appears small.

The easiest way to fix this is:

1) click Design

2) Click Size

3) More Page Sizes

4) select Pre-Defined size - Change to A4 or A3

5) Select page orientation

6) Click apply

7) Click OK.

You can then select all the shapes generated by the active firectory topology creator and re-szie them into the document.

To do this;

1) Home

2) Click pointer Tool

3) Highlight shapes

4) Click bottom right hand cormer of square and drag smaller.

5) Select shape and move to A4

Hope it helps
